Reduce PPT size

Creating an effective is certainly an art; easy to read, appealing, print clarity and sharable. While creating and designing a presentation, we focus on its theme, professional look and appeal but overlook to consider size of presentation. Size of a business presentation must be considerable when it has to be share on a network or via emails. There are few points that can be considered to reduce size of a presentation:
·         Images should not be larger than 1024*768 pixels
·         To reduce size of images:
o   For Powerpoint 2003:
§  Right click on an image
§  Click Format Picture
§  Click Compress
§  Under Apply to; click either Selected Picture or All Pictures according to requirement
o   For Powerpoint 2007:
§  Double click an image
§  Click Compress image
§  Select Apply to for the clicked image
§  Click Options

·         Creating a presentation in Powerpoint 2007 and saving the presentation into97-2003 format increases the file size. Powerpoint 2007 converts features into images that is not supported in 97-2003 format
         Use minimum embed files
·         Working with screenshots, photos and scanned images, set the pixels correctly before inserting it into the presentations
·         Avoiding Fast Saves (Powerpoint 2003) and Auto Recovery ( Powerpoint 2007) might help to create a heavy file
·         Using Insert option for images and pictures instead of drag-drop or copy-paste helps to avoid a heavy presentation file
